Finding a Psychotherapist
Finding a psychotherapist who is right for you can be daunting and confusing. I encourage you to shop around. Call and talk to a few of us, ask questions about how we work, and see how it feels to talk to us about whatever is bothering you. Some may offer a free phone consultation (I do), which helps you get a sense of whether we're a good match (I'm happy to respond to email as well). Some of us reduce our fee in certain circumstances (I do).
If for any reason you feel I'm not the right person, I'll gladly help you find someone who is right for you, whatever that takes. Your healing is more important than my feelings.
Finding Me
If you make an appointment with me, you'll find my office in a residential area close to downtown Bethesda, and three-quarters of a mile from the Bethesda Metro Station.

Directions
If you are driving
My office is easily reached by car from I-495 (Beltway) via the River Rd. or Connecticut Ave. exits, and from major arteries such as Massachusetts Ave., Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike, and Old Georgetown Road/East-West Highway.

You can obtain turn-by-turn directions by putting your departure point and my address into Mapquest, or a similar online route finder.

For those who know where the Bethesda Strosnider's Hardware is on Arlington Road near Bradley Blvd., you are very close. Manning Drive is a short street in the neighborhood behind Strosnider's, one block north of-and parallel to-Bradley Blvd.
- If approaching Bethesda from the east via Bradley Blvd., make a right on Fairfax Rd. and then your first left on Manning Drive (this is a confusing intersection; make a sharp left).
- If approaching Bethesda from the west via Bradley Blvd., make a left on Glenbrook Road and then your first right on Manning Drive.
- If approaching Bethesda via Little Falls Parkway, follow the parkway until it bends sharply right and becomes Fairfax Rd. Follow Fairfax Rd. across Bradley Blvd. and then make your first left on Manning Drive (this is a confusing intersection; make a sharp left).
Once you are on Manning Drive, look for 5117 about mid-block on the north side of the street. Please park in the gravel driveway (it should be empty) and follow the flagstone path that leads back to my garden office. Enter from the door to the left of the building where you see the concrete stoop.
If you come by bus
The #36 Ride-On bus from Bethesda Metro Station stops at Fairfax Rd. and Bradley Blvd., a short walk from my office. After exiting the bus, walk north on Fairfax Road about 100 yards, turn left at Manning Drive, and walk 1/2 block to 5117. Walk down the gravel driveway and follow the flagstone path that leads back to my garden office. Enter from the door to the left of the building where you see the concrete stoop.
If you are walking from the Bethesda Metro station or another point in my immediate neighborhood, call me for specific directions.
